Export Control Classification & Compliance Specialist
Location: Spring, TX (Hybrid – Minimum 2 Days Onsite)
Pay: Up to $28/hour
Duration: 1-Year Contract
The Fountain Group is seeking an experienced Export Control Classification & Compliance Specialist for a prominent global technology company. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in Export Control, Trade Compliance, Customs, ECCN, HTS, or ITAR.
Responsibilities:
- Classify products under EAR, ECCN, HTS (Harmonized System), and ITAR regulations to ensure compliance with U.S. export control requirements.
- Review and interpret technical specifications for technology, software, AI, networking, semiconductor, hardware, and other regulated products.
- Support product lifecycle activities by partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Legal, and other cross-functional teams.
- Utilize ERP classification systems to manage classification workflows, audits, reporting, and documentation.
- Provide classification support for platform-based and service-oriented business models.
- Develop and maintain expertise in advanced technologies and evolving regulatory frameworks to accurately classify complex products.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Export Control, Customs, Trade Compliance, or Product Classification.
- Strong knowledge of EAR, ECCN, HTS/Harmonized System, and ITAR regulations.
- Experience classifying technology, software, semiconductors, AI, networking, or hardware products.
- Experience using ERP classification systems and managing compliance workflows.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
