Export Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day freight forwarding and project logistics operations. This position will be responsible for managing export shipments through the full logistics lifecycle, with a particular focus on oversized and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo.
The ideal candidate will have prior freight-forwarding and export experience in an A-to-Z operational environment, with the ability to manage shipments from initial booking and documentation through final completion. This individual should be adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating within a small team in a fast-changing logistics environment.

Pay/Compensation: $27-$32/hour depending on experience
Location: Houston, TX/The Woodlands, TX (77381)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (flexible hours offered)

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate export shipments through the full A-to-Z freight-forwarding process, from initial booking through shipment completion.
- Create and manage shipment bookings and submit required shipping instructions and documentation.
- Monitor shipments throughout the transportation lifecycle and follow through to ensure successful completion.
- Support project logistics involving oversized and out-of-gauge cargo.
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations while adjusting to changing priorities and unexpected shipment needs.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation throughout each stage of the process.
- Collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and keep shipments moving efficiently.
- Support project logistics operations involving cargo that may require more specialized coordination than traditional point-to-point ocean freight.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and other logistics partners throughout the shipment process.
- Learn and apply processes related to specialized OOG cargo handling as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within the freight-forwarding industry.
- Working knowledge of basic freight-forwarding and logistics terminology.
- Previous export operations experience.
- Experience managing shipments in an A-to-Z environment, rather than supporting only one portion of the shipment lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to ask questions, collaborate with teammates, and learn new processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CargoWise or a similar freight-forwarding/logistics system; CargoWise experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience handling out-of-gauge (OOG), oversized, or project cargo is preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting day-to-day freight-forwarding or project logistics operations.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, highly collaborative team environment.
