The candidate will participate in activities such as engaging with internal IBM business teams to achieve compliant solutions, conducting corporate business development due diligence, leading internal export compliance reviews, and delivering against corporate education objectives.
As a member of the Export Regulation Office, this position will serve as a resource for IBM's global export compliance network and all employees on complying with export regulations. This involves interfacing with all areas of IBM's extensive global operations, including, but not limited to, Research, Development, Manufacturing, Services, HR, Finance, Legal, and Sales & Delivery.
The successful candidate for this position will be able to employ effective problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive analyses, lead projects, provide training, conduct reviews, and interpret regulations. A background in export regulations and economic sanctions, including the Departments of Commerce, State, and Treasury, is strongly preferred.
