Position Description
This is a full time direct hire role located in Whippany, New Jersey. The standard company hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position is responsible for coordinating and processing domestic and international shipments in strict compliance with global trade regulations. The coordinator manages export and import documentation, including Shipper"s Export Declarations and classification data, while interfacing directly with customs brokers and freight forwarders. Key responsibilities include utilizing Automated Export Systems (AES) for filing, determining proper HTS and ECCN codes, and ensuring total adherence to EAR and ITAR regulations. Additionally, the position manages shipment creation and tracking through major carrier platforms while maintaining hazardous materials compliance.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in export/import coordination with active Hazmat certification under 49 CFR and IATA.
* Technical proficiency in Automated Export Systems (AES) for ITN generation and filing Shipper"s Export Declarations (Form 7525-V).
* Strong working knowledge of international trade compliance, specifically regarding EAR, ITAR, Schedule B, HTS codes, and ECCN classifications.
* Proven experience managing logistics through carrier systems such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL while coordinating with third-party freight forwarders and customs brokers.
