Position duties and responsibilities:
Review export documents for accuracy
Prepare and present Letter of Credit Documents
Dispatch export loads and cargo pick-ups, confirm cargo delivered to carrier
Track export shipments and advise customer of potential schedule changes if applicable for the client
Prepare export documents, file AES and Bill of Lading Instructions prior to vessel cut-offs.
Ensure timely distribution of transport documents and billing of freight
Negotiate rates with carriers and provide quotes to customers
Problem solve with the Export Manager when situations arise that can or do negatively effect our clients and their customers
Communicate with all parties in a transaction in a clear, concise, professional manner
Above all, provide outstanding, uncompromising customer service
Requirements
Knowledge of US Customs Regulations regarding US Exports
Country Requirements competence
Letter of Credit knowledge and experience preferred
Good transportation background, FCL, LCL, rating, routing, documentation
Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Export experience minimum 2+ years
High school diploma, 2 or 4 year college degree beneficial
