Express/Quick Services Tech

We are seeking an Experienced Express Technician to join our high-volume Ford dealership’s Express Service team. This role focuses on efficient, high-quality quick-service work—oil changes, multi-point inspections, tire rotations, fluid services, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance—while delivering outstanding customer service and upholding Ford’s standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
•    Perform express/quick services on Ford, Lincoln, and other vehicles, including oil & filter changes, tire rotations/balancing, multi-point inspections, fluid top-offs, cabin/engine air filters, battery testing, and basic maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
•    Accurately diagnose and address common express-level concerns; escalate complex repairs to the appropriate technician or advisor.
•    Complete work orders thoroughly and on time, maintaining high productivity while meeting quality and safety standards.
•    Conduct vehicle multi-point inspections and communicate findings clearly to service advisors.
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all dealership and manufacturer safety protocols.
•    Use dealership systems (DMS, service scheduling tools, Ford diagnostic software as applicable) to document work, parts usage, and recommendations.
•    Provide friendly, professional interaction with customers when needed and support a positive team environment.
•    Stay current on Ford technical updates, service bulletins, and best practices for express lane efficiency.
Required Qualifications
•    Minimum 6 months of hands-on automotive technician experience, with proven experience in express/quick-service or similar high-volume maintenance roles.
•    Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with routine maintenance procedures on modern vehicles (including Ford products preferred).
•    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•    Must have own tools to perform express technician duties
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in varying temperatures, and perform physical tasks associated with automotive service.
•    Basic computer literacy for work-order systems and digital inspection tools.
•    Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused with strong attention to detail and time management.
•    High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret service information, technical manuals, and work orders.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Ford or manufacturer-specific training/certifications (or willingness to complete dealership-sponsored training).
•    ASE certifications (especially in Maintenance & Light Repair or related areas).
•    Experience in a Ford dealership or high-volume express service environment.
•    Familiarity with Ford diagnostic tools, IDS/FDRS, or similar systems.
•    Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other) a plus.

Schedule
Full-time position. Typical dealership service hours (may include some evenings or Saturdays depending on location needs). Overtime opportunities available based on volume.
