    Position Summary

    Provides specialized group and individual therapy to adult and geriatric psychiatric inpatient population using clinical skills and intervention techniques to assess, treat and manage patient population.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Completes initial assessments to establish master treatment goals.
    • Coordinates clinical services while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
    • Identifies therapeutic needs and continuum of clinical care for the clients.
    • Performs psychotherapy, group, and family therapy as needed.
    • Documents all services, attends treatment team meetings, and works closely with inpatient behavioral staff.
    • Facilitates specialized groups using evidence based interventions (CBT, DBT, movement therapy, etc).

    Required Qualifications

    • Must have at least one year in designated field

    • Previous Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred

    • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Recreational Therapy, counseling, or similar degree required

    Licensure and Certification

    • BLS/CPR required
    • CPI required within 90 days of hire
    •  

      Licensed Professional Counselor preferred

    Where a professional license or certification is required, the candidate must maintain the applicable license or certification throughout employment and comply with applicable renewal and reporting requirements.

    Humboldt Park Health may verify applicable professional licenses, certifications, education, employment history, and other credentials as permitted or required by applicable law and organizational policy.

    Schedule

    This position follows a full-time schedule. Flexibility may be required based on patient care and operational needs.

    Compensation

    Pay Range: $35 – $45 per hour

    The pay range represents the budgeted compensation range for this position. Final offers may vary based on job-related factors, including qualifications, education, experience, skill set, internal equity, applicable policies, and other factors permitted by law.
