Position Overview: 

The Extended Care Program Monitor will work directly with a group of 30 + students grade K to 5.  to design, coordinate and deliver our school’s after-school program.  The Extended Care Program provides a safe, fun and caring environment for our students and acts as an extension of the school day.

Schedule: 

  • The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week.
    • Lunch: 11:00 - 1:00
    • Recesses: 1:30p - 2:30p
    • After-school: 3:00 - 6:00
  • The monitor will be working full time during our week long school breaks throughout the school year.

Key responsibilities:

  • Active supervision of children indoor and outdoor
  • Plan activities (sports, arts and crafts…) with co-workers
  • Communication with parents and staff
  • Oversee schedules, arrival / dismissal of students
  • Resolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learning
  • Set up, take down and clean up to ensure overall cleanliness of space

Qualifications: 

  • Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive 
  • Team-worker with strong communication skills
  • Experience working and developing age appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not required
  • Fluency in French is a plus but not required
  • Eligible to work in the US

 

 


We offer $25/hr and a dynamic work environment. 

Live scan background and TB clearance required.
