The Art Farm NYC is hiring Part-Time Assistant Camp Teachers to support our Extended Day Program during the 2026 Summer Camp season.

About the Role

As an Assistant Camp Teacher, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable afternoon environment for campers ages 2–9 after the regular camp day ends. You'll work alongside Lead Teachers and Camp Leadership to supervise activities, assist with daily routines, and ensure every camper finishes their day with a smile.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage campers during the Extended Day Program
• Assist with arts & crafts, games, outdoor play, and other enrichment activities
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
• Support campers with transitions and daily routines
• Assist with end-of-day pickup procedures
• Communicate professionally with families and fellow staff
• Follow all camp policies and health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with camp leadership and teaching staff

Qualifications

Preferred

• Experience working with children in a camp, school, daycare, or childcare setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, dependable, and energetic attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Must be available Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM–6:00 PM throughout the camp season
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings and attend staff training before camp begins
