Extended Day Student 1:1 Aide

Walpole Public Schools is seeking an Extended-Day 1:1 Aide at Boyden Elementary School, Wednesdays only, 3:00 to 6:00pm, effective immediately for the 2026-2027 school year.

Summary: To provide social and behavioral support to specific students with high-need disabilities within the Extended Day program. Student assignment is determined by Extended Day and District administration. Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensuring a safe environment for the assigned student.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and potentially engage in moderate physical activity.
• Engaging the student in basic de-escalation techniques if the student is dysregulated.
• Consulting with extended day staff as needed regarding the student's needs.
• Reporting to extended day staff any issues or behaviors that would typically be reported to parents.

Qualifications:

• College graduate preferred
• Safety Care trained preferred
• Ability to effectively engage students with high level of need due to disability
• Fingerprint verification required
