General Description: As part of its special education programming, Extended School Year (ESY) Services are provided to eligible students. Franklin offers a number of ESY programs from preschool through high school. Extended School Year services are provided to students who meet one or more of the criteria for such services as outlined in special education law. Typically, eligible students require services because they have demonstrated or are likely to demonstrate substantial regression in his/her learning skills and/or substantial difficulty relearning if an extended year program is not provided. Responsibilities: Under the direction of program lead teacher, provide individual, group, and/or 1:1 support to students and program. Mornings are devoted to explicit instruction in academic areas and social skills. Qualifications: Experience with students with disabilities; teaching licensure preferred * Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
