POSITION SUMMARY
The Extended School Year ESY Assistant Teacher provides high-level instructional support to Teachers, ensuring the effective delivery and development of specialized summer programs for the districts students. This role is responsible for enhancing the educational experience for students and staff by managing daily schedules and facilitating curriculum activities. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of healthy social and emotional development to support all learners, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring clear communication between staff, families, and colleagues. The Extended School Year ESY Assistant Teacher serves as a vital resource for students requiring exceptional problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Framingham Public Schools seeks candidates whose background, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of education.
Educational Requirement: A high school diploma is required. Additional post-secondary education credits in a related field are preferred.
Professional Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as an educator in a school or community-based setting is required.
Specialized Knowledge: Some experience working with special education students and/or children with Autism PDD or other neurological disorders is preferred.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred.
