The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading hospice and palliative care provider in the DFW Metroplex,<\/span><\/span>to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Extended Service Unit (ESU) Registered Nurse (RN).<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

As an ESU Registered Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, after -hours nursing care in patients' homes, ensuring continuity of care during evenings, weekends, and on -call hours. You'll perform admissions, respond to urgent patient needs, collaborate with the interdisciplinary teams, and serve as a trusted resource for patients and families.<\/span><\/span>

What You’ll Do<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs while documenting findings and communicating changes<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide after -hours hospice nursing care in patients' homes<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ensure continuity of care and support patients and families outside business hours<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Respond to scheduled visits and urgent after -hours patient calls<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Complete after -hours hospice and palliative care admissions<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide clinical guidance to Hospice Aides and LVNs<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain compliance with clinical and payer guidelines<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Follow infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Promote the organization's mission, values, and quality standards<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Participate in ongoing professional development & perform other duties as assigned<\/span><\/span>

    What We Are Looking For<\/span><\/span>
    <\/p>

    Qualifications<\/span><\/span>
    <\/p>

    • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's School of Nursing<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • 1+ of RN experience in a clinical setting required; Hospice experience strongly preferred<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Current CPR certification; Current TB testing and Hepatitis consent/declination<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Reliable transportation, valid Texas driver's license, and current auto insurance<\/span><\/span>

      • Provide care in patients' homes with local travel required<\/span><\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Flexible evening, weekend, and on -call schedule<\/span><\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Strong communication, and critical thinking skills<\/span><\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient mobility<\/span><\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Work effectively in varying conditions using strong clinical judgment<\/span><\/span>
        <\/li><\/ul>
