This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone with extensive experience installing siding, windows, gutters, exterior trim, flashing, doors, or similar remodeling products. You will coordinate daily job-site activities while continuing to perform installation work with the crew.

The ideal candidate is an experienced exterior carpenter or remodeler who leads through action, keeps the team organized, resolves issues in the field, and ensures every project is completed safely, efficiently, and according to Morins' workmanship standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the installation of seamless gutters, downspouts, steel siding, vinyl siding, exterior trim, and flashing.
  • Fit and install windows and doors so they are plumb, level, square, properly sealed, and protected from the weather.
  • Ensure installation and weatherproofing work follows manufacturer instructions and company requirements.
  • Accurately plan layouts and measure, cut, fit, and install materials.
  • Maintain job sites that are safe, clean, organized, and productive.
  • Coordinate daily field activities, delegate assignments, and help the crew remain on schedule.
  • Train, mentor, and assist team members while reinforcing quality craftsmanship and cooperation.
  • Keep project managers, customers, office personnel, and crew members informed about progress, materials, and job-site requirements.
  • Use JobNimbus and QuickBooks Workforce to record hours, materials, project notes, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful presence at every customer's property.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in residential exterior carpentry, siding, windows, gutters, remodeling, or a related installation trade.
  • Previous experience as a lead carpenter, crew leader, or field supervisor is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a small crew, distribute work, and keep production moving according to schedule.
  • Advanced skills in measuring, layout, cutting, fitting, and exterior installation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work correctly the first time.
  • A safety-minded approach to all field activities.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights and in enclosed areas when the project requires it.
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Willingness to use digital applications for timekeeping, project notes, materials, and documentation.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coach employees, establish trust, and support positive team morale.
  • OSHA certification or another relevant safety credential is preferred but not required.
  • A flexible, team-focused attitude with strong field problem-solving abilities.

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time W2 employment.
  • Hourly pay of $30-$36, based on experience.
  • Overtime compensation available.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Stable, year-round employment with a consistent schedule of projects.
  • Company-supplied tools, equipment, and uniform assistance.
  • Training and leadership development covering company systems, products, and field operations.
  • A respectful, family-oriented workplace that recognizes quality craftsmanship, strong leadership, and long-term professional development.
