Job Description
Install exterior doors into newly constructed houses or buildings by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (training will be provided upon hiring).
Be able to use Google maps to drive to locations.Working knowledge of Outlook and Excell, the ability to write concise accurate emails and attach pictures.Being aware of job site hazards and being proactive in dealing with them.Verify correct doors, rough openings, and swings.Install previously delivered doors to company standards and specifications.Apply latest building codes, industry standards, and company policies in daily work.Stay knowledgeable of OSHA and BFS regulations, and apply safety requirements in daily work (e.g. wearing hard hats, steel-toe work boots, fall prevention requirements when applicable, etc.)Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, tools, skills, and/or ability required.
Own and maintain a reliable vehicle as means of getting to and from jobs.Be able to plan and keep to a schedule.
High school education or equivalent.Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with company policy.Own and maintain personal tools, work bags, and ladder. (All install materials will be provided).
Previous experience in the construction/install field is preferred but not required as training will be provided.
COMPETENCIES
Solve problems on the fly.Physical and mechanical knowledge.Be able to lift heavy materials.Knowledge and experience with hand tools. (Drills, levels, multiple types of saws, measuring tape, etc.)
