Summary/Objective The Extruder Operator position sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the extruder line(s) under supervision and direction of the production supervisor. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat, moving mechanical parts, and possible fumes. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift. Additional hours during the week or on weekends may be required according to production demands. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
