Extrusion/Manufacturing Inspection Technician – All Shifts

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented technician to join our rapidly growing plastics manufacturing company in Valley View. We want candidates with solid quality control and inspection experience, eager to develop their skills and grow with us in a dynamic environment.

This role supports a cutting-edge Engineering and Nanolayer Film team while also providing support to extrusion operations. You will receive comprehensive cross-department training and have the opportunity to work with advanced inspection tools and technology in a quality-focused lab setting on-site.

HOURS:

1st Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

PAY:

$25.00/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Precise preparation of test samples using tools such as precision cutters, laser cutters, sputter coaters, etc.
• Conduct line in-process inspections and laboratory tests.
• Use and understand inspection instruments including micrometers, drop-gauges, electrical Hipot testers, tensile testers, and other film testing equipment.
• Record and analyze inspection/test data, identify defects, and report findings to supervision.
• Maintain safety protocols during electrical testing, oil testing, material handling, and manufacturing support.
• Support extrusion operations approximately 20% of the time as a manufacturing technician.
• Adhere to PPE and safety standards at all times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or higher education preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing or quality control.
• Experience with materials testing labs or quality assurance required.
• Knowledge of plastics processing equipment (extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, injection molding).
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Strong math, measurement skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in computer use, especially data entry.
• Willing to learn new testing methods and software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Experience working off-shift preferred.
• Experience operating tow motors or material handling equipment is a plus.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Electrical and mechanical skills.
• Experience with lab testing in manufacturing, chemicals, or medical fields.
• Familiarity with quality inspection equipment and software.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years in plastics quality control or manufacturing labs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be on-site, work safely, and follow all PPE protocols. Candidates should be well-spoken, mature, and eager to grow into a future film extrusion expert.
