Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to support the production of high-quality medical tubing. This role is responsible for operating, setting up, and tearing down extrusion lines, including all associated downstream equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate extrusion equipment to manufacture medical tubing according to specifications
- Perform full setup and teardown of extrusion lines, including all downstream equipment (e.g., vacuum tanks, water tanks, pullers, cutters, conveyors, dryers, coilers, and measurement tools)
- Monitor line performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality and output
- Complete all required documentation for setup, operation, and production tracking during the shift
- Follow all safety and quality procedures to maintain compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to maintain a clean and organized work area



Experience & Education:
- Previous extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Technical school certificate or 6+ months of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, routers, and product specifications

Skills & Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and break down extrusion lines and related equipment (dies, mandrels, vacuum boxes, pullers, etc.)
- Prepare raw materials and ensure proper tooling is used for each run
- Monitor and verify product dimensions using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools
- Maintain accurate documentation for all work orders and processes per ISO and QMS standards
- Follow and review production schedules; communicate discrepancies with planning or supervision
- Identify and report damaged tooling, machine issues, or discrepancies in drawings, BOMs, and setup documents
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and preventative checks before and after each run
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications using in-line measurements and visual inspections

Physical & Other Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail
- Basic computer skills required for reporting and documentation
- Plastics certification and tooling knowledge are a plus
