An AdvantaFlex Extrusion Operator utilizes extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes in the AdvantaFlex Extrusion Department to produce extruded tubing products in order to fulfill production requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities: Extrusion Operator:
Operates extrusion equipment in accordance with Standard Manufacturing Procedures and work instructions to produce tubing products that conform to specifications.
Sets up, changes over, and shuts down all extrusion equipment in accordance current procedures.
Inspects finished goods visually and with measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
Packages finished goods.
Uses the production schedule to determine the order in which production jobs are executed.
Uses paper based and electronic systems to track finished goods production, raw material consumption, scrap, and production time.
Troubleshoots and corrects quality related defects in products.
Follows Good Documentation Practices.
Uses PPE properly, follows all safety procedures.
Follows cleanroom gowning procedures and exhibits good cleanroom behavior.
Supports 5S initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: Extrusion Operator:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Basic computer skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision.
Extrusion experience preferred, but not required
