Packaging Operator
Pay Rate: $20/hourly
Shift & Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: 10pm-6:30am, training during mornings hours
- Must be available to work either shift based on production needs
- Schedule may change with short notice depending on operational demands
Position Overview:
The Packaging Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all packaging equipment and the packaging of assigned products. This role ensures all work is completed in compliance with customer specifications and company standards, including safety, environmental, food safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Package products according to production schedules and specifications
- Perform routine checks to ensure product quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience
- Experience with production machines
- Forklift experience preferred but not needed
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing warehouse setting
- Exposure to varying conditions, including:
- Hot and cold temperatures
- Wet and dusty environments
- High noise levels
- Frequent use of industrial packaging equipment
Physical & Safety Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on the production floor:
- Hearing protection
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Hair/beard nets
- Safety shoes
