Lead the Nightly Flow of Production in Jacksonville, TX

As our Extrusion Production Team Supervisor, you’ll guide a dedicated crew through the third shift, making sure every run is safe, efficient, and on-spec. Picture your night: you review batch cards, stage raw materials and people for the next runs, confirm equipment is ready, and keep the line humming through changeovers—all while enforcing quality standards set by our customers and Teknor Color Company. You close the night by entering shift performance into the daily production report and setting the next team up for success.

What you will do

  • Ensure daily production requirements are met
  • Plan and prepare for future production requirements
  • Enforce quality standards as set forth by customers and Teknor Color Company
  • Obtain batch cards for products
  • Oversee the safe operation of all equipment at all times
  • Troubleshoot and operate equipment as required
  • Work with all operators to maintain a smooth and productive process flow, including helping on changeovers and line operation
  • Complete computer entry of shift performance on the daily production report
  • Understand, follow, and enforce all company rules and policies at all times
  • Work overtime and different shifts if necessary
  • Supervise a safe shift, working in a safe manner
  • Prepare equipment, raw materials, and people for future runs before the immediate need
  • Follow applicable procedures, work instructions, and test methods; perform and maintain records on in-process production testing and Q.C. inspection of finished product

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years operating production equipment; knowledge of plastics and plastics processes preferred
  • Familiarity with plastic extrusion equipment preferred
  • Certified forklift operator
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Accurate, conscientious, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Proven team leadership
  • Ability to lift and carry 55 pounds
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Must be 18 years of age to work at Teknor Apex.

Schedule, pay, and structure

  • Third-shift leadership with 8-hour production shifts; paid weekly
  • Shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Overtime may be required; overtime production schedule posted 1 year in advance—no production is scheduled for most holiday weekends
  • Reports to: Production Manager
  • Location: Jacksonville, TX
