Extrusion R&D Technician
We are seeking skilled extrusion professionals for an exciting opportunity in Valley View, OH. Hours:
7:00 am 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:
$24.00 $26.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Support film extrusion equipment setup, operation, tooling changeovers, and testing
Troubleshoot equipment issues, research solutions, and support repairs or upgrades
Provide recommendations and implement solutions to resolve process or equipment problems quickly
Help develop processing parameters for multilayer films
Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate at all times
Report safety concerns immediately and operate equipment safely
Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform 5S activities to maintain a clean and organized work area
Handle raw materials and finished goods efficiently and safely
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or 4+ years of manufacturing experience
3+ years of plastics processing experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Ability to maintain production charts and reports
Basic math and measurement skills, including gauging parts
Mechanical aptitude; experience with maintenance and repair of extrusion equipment preferred
Ability to comply with quality systems and safety regulations
Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands
Ability to work independently and in a team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working with computerized extrusion equipment settings
Knowledge of multilayer film processing
Maintenance or repair experience on extrusion machinery
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of plastics extrusion processing experience
Computer literacy, especially MS Excel
