What you will be doing

Lead Extrusion team members to safely produce quality extrusions at the lowest cost by problem-solving to eliminate waste and continue growth. Provides supervision, direction and administrative functions - assignments, decisions, recognition, consequences, performance, discipline, etc. to team members in assigned areas.

• Perform duties of daily staffing, payroll for the shift, overtime and tapping
• Provides a physically and emotionally safe working environment promoting mutual trust and respect.
• Investigates safety incidents and works on preventive safety techniques with teams.
• Provides first response (first on help chain) to team members when customer demand is jeopardized or area is shutting down due to safety and/or quality problems.
• Sponsors and facilitates rapid problem solving process across areas. Works to remove waste across areas.
• Maintains personal touch with each team member during the course of the shift
• Develop work Instructions and/or standardized work with team members; sponsors use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety and quality practices.
• Coaches and educates crew/team in safety, quality, work practices, problem solving methods, and people issues.

What will make you successful?

• At least 3 years or more in a Manufacturing Environment. (required)
• Shop Floor experience in the Extrusion Department. (preferred)
• Leadership experience and training. (preferred)
