Extrusion Technician A

TITLE: Extrusion Technician APOSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for change-over and operation of lines within his/her assigned island. Must be able to maintain good housekeeping, safety, quality, production quality, and must be able to work with other employees in assigned team.QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED is preferred3 year + Plastic blown film experience as an operator or 2/4 year degree related in the field that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position is preferredMechanical aptitudeMust be able to do Process MaintenanceMust be able to maintain production and quality of 6 production linesMust be able to train Operator TraineesMust be able to identify safety hazardsEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to all plant safety rules and company policyResponsible for housekeeping of assigned areaResponsible for quality in assigned area including proper QC proceduresResponsible for production in assigned areaResponsible for production paperwork in assigned areaAble to fill in as packer for breaks and when short handedPerform product change in assigned areaPerform TPM in assigned areaAssist with training employeesAssist with troubleshooting equipment in assigned areaWork with maintenance on repair of equipmentAble to fill in during absence of his/her:

Work overtime as neededAble to do master roll change unassistedAble to do additional work as requested by supervisorMust have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be hard above the noise level.Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.
