Within EY-Parthenons Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.
Your key responsibilities
As a Director with EY-Parthenons Strategy and Execution Deal Technology practice, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT focused projects across sectors. You will be developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience in different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking). Having a commercial mindset is key to this role.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information and Operations Management, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
MBA is preferred.
Significant management consulting experience.
Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
Expertise in a minimum of 4 of the following IT skillsets:
IT strategy
Enterprise architecture
Infrastructure and cloud architecture
Cyber and IAM architecture
Digital Technology Strategy
Digital IT operating model transformation
IT cost reduction
IT security / cyber

Digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality)
Cloud SaaS or PaaS (including Collaboration) strategy and delivery
Cloud IaaS or Data Center migration planning and execution
Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Active Directory services strategy
IT service management
Operations Center (e.g., NOC, SOC) or Managed Service Provider
IT TSA development
IT finance management
IT infrastructure management
IT outsourcing / offshoring
IT contract management
IT or Cyber Diligence
IT synergy identification
Data governance, separation, and transition
Integration and Separation Planning
Experience with and demonstrated success in at least one key business process such as procurement to pay, record to report, order to cash, plan to make, hire to retire.
Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, CISSP or CISA highly desired.
You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
