We''re looking for an individual to fill our newly open position of full-time EZMO Transportation Coordinator. This person must have a strong attention to detail and motivation to follow tasks through to completion and the ability to work independently and in a Team setting.
Help Connect People to Important Services
The EZMO Transportation Coordinator leads and supports transportation services across our service areas. This position helps older adults, people with disabilities, low-income individuals, and others get to important places such as doctor appointments, pharmacies, jobs, grocery stores, and other essential services.
An important duty of this position is building and supporting a network of volunteer drivers. The Coordinator recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who provide transportation to people in need.
The Coordinator also works with community partners to identify transportation challenges and find solutions that improve access to services throughout the region.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteer Driver Program
- An important responsibility of this position is growing and maintaining a strong volunteer driver program.
- Recruit volunteer drivers throughout the service area.
- Develop ways to attract, train, and keep volunteers.
- Plan and attend recruitment events, community meetings, and outreach activities.
- Build relationships with churches, businesses, schools, and community groups to recruit volunteers.
- Coordinate volunteer orientation and training.
- Support and recognize volunteers for their service.
- Monitor volunteer participation and identify areas where more drivers are needed.
- Work closely with the Transportation Specialist to support volunteer activities.
Transportation Program Leadership
- Help lead transportation programs across the service area.
- Identify transportation barriers facing community members.
- Work with local organizations to find solutions to transportation needs.
- Build partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, local governments, employers, and community organizations.
- Represent the agency at transportation meetings and events.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities.
- Gather information about transportation needs in local communities.
Program Development
- Help find grant opportunities and other funding sources.
- Support efforts to improve transportation services throughout the region.
- Research new transportation programs and best practices.
- Build strong partnerships that expand transportation options.
Program Oversight and Reporting
- Track program results and volunteer activity.
- Review program data and identify ways to improve services.
- Prepare reports and maintain required records.
- Follow agency policies and grant requirements.
- Use software and technology to manage program information and reporting.
Community Support
- Provide information about transportation services and resources.
- Help individuals connect with available transportation options.
- Assist with resolving transportation concerns or service issues.
- Promote the EZMO program through presentations, meetings, and community events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation, Social Services, or a related field.
- Equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered.
- At least three (3) years of experience in transportation services, volunteer management, community programs, project coordination, or a related field.
- Willing to submit to Criminal Background Screenings
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver''s license & provide proof of vehicle insurance.
- Must be able to travel throughout the service area using personal transportation (eligible for mileage reimbursement)
- Must have Community Mobility Management certification or must be willing to earn an approved certification within 24 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, low-income households, or underserved populations.
- Experience with grants, community outreach, and partnership development.
- Community Mobility Management certification is preferred.
Skills and Abilities

- The ability to build positive relationships with volunteers and community partners.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting Pay Rate: $25.61 per hour - may increase based on education and/or relevant experience
- Status: Full-time, 36-hour work week, exempt
