The Boeing Company has an exciting opening in the Air Dominance division. F-15 Mission Systems is seeking a Stores Management Systems (SMS) and Recorders engineering manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO.
The manager in this role will guide the day-to-day activities of engineers responsible for development, production support, and sustainment of fielded systems of stores management and recorder solutions. This team performs engineering design, development, supplier technical oversight, and test activities for the F-15 and some F/A-18 common recorders and stores management products. In this role the manager will have responsibility for technical performance for program and production execution. Additionally, as a Mission Systems Leader, the manager will ensure adequate and effective utilization of Technical Lead Engineers, implementation of Design Practices, and execution to the Enterprise Standard Gated Process.
Key responsibilities include staffing, leading and mentoring an engineering team responsible for both sustainment of fielded avionics systems and development of new SMS and recorder products. The manager will oversee the upgrade program for a new Stores Management System, including requirements, design, integration, testing, and fielding. They will lead the technical integration of a a new recorder solution into existing F-15 and common recorder architectures, including supplier technical oversight and certification support. The manager will also manage installation and aircraft integration activities for avionics equipment on F-15 platforms, coordinating with flight test, modification teams, and production. They will own program-level technical risk identification, mitigation, and delivery commitments. The manager will ensure execution of Design Practices and alignment to the Enterprise Standard Gated Process and drive continuous process improvements. Coordination with cross-functional stakeholders (systems engineering, avionics, software, test, manufacturing, sustainment, and customers) is required to ensure successful execution from development through field support. The manager will support fielded-system troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and firmware/software updates required for in-service aircraft.

Summary pay range:
Level K: $141,100-$190,900
