What You Will Be Doing

As the F-35 Line of Business Project Engineering Manager- Availability Team you will be responsible for leading a high‑performing team that drives fleet availability, depot stand‑ups, and RMIP/EIB efforts while partnering across functions and program stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing team resources within allocated budgets to ensure support for all projects in a dynamic environment.
• Identifying and addressing issues, risks, and opportunities that impact fleet availability.
• Interacting with senior leadership in E&T, program management, sustainment, and key stakeholders.
• Developing and maintaining a Vemo staffing plan that supports evaluation of future staffing needs.
• Performing personnel management tasks including staffing, training, assigning work, and conducting performance reviews.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM related Discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Engineering environment
• Project Management experience
• Experience working across multiple disciplines, departments, or teams (such as Supply Chain, Chief Engineering, Program Management)
• Secret or higher security clearance

Desired Skills:

• F-35 Development, Customer Solutions, Sustainment, or Production experience
• Experience leading and/ or mentoring early/ mid-career staff
• EVMS and / or CAM Experience
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
• Familiar with Sustainment of Military Platforms, F-35 experience a plus
• Team leadership experience
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
