Department: Maintenance
The Instrument Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation systems that support safe and efficient chemical manufacturing operations. This role ensures reliable operation of process control and monitoring equipment across the facility.
Troubleshoot and repair pressure, level, and temperature transmitters
Maintain and service solenoid-operated instruments and control valves
Repair and calibrate chart recorders and process monitoring devices
Diagnose and maintain gas detection systems
Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant instrumentation
Support process safety and reliability initiatives
Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with plant procedures
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (chemical or process manufacturing preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial instrumentation and process controls
Must achieve a passing score on a written technical exam
Safety-oriented with demonstrated adherence to plant safety standards
Ability to work more than 8 hours in a day and 40+ hours per week as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
