Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Start Time: Between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM
Overtime: Occasional evening and weekend overtime may be required

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Assembler 2 to perform disassembly, assembly, rework, and basic testing of electrical and electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and experience working with small electrical/electronic components.

The Assembler 2 will work from written instructions, specifications, drawings, and established procedures while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical and electromechanical assembly, disassembly, and rework.
• Use electric soldering equipment in accordance with IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standards.
• Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires.
• Prepare batteries and electronic components.
• Apply conformal coating, markings, and adhesive bonding.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, specifications, and procedures.
• Perform complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations with direct or limited supervision.
• Inspect own work and other associates' work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Read and follow company and customer drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and applicable inspection equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 6S standards.
• Maintain acceptable attendance, safety, and performance records.
• Assist other departments with assigned duties, training, and development as needed.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Technician or Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment, OR
• Completion of OJT training on at least 5 products.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and understand instructions, regulations, safety procedures, and manufacturing documents in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering equipment.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts.
• Ability to perform complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly.
• Ability to perform basic welding, brazing, or soldering tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to use applicable tools, equipment, and inspection aids.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve unusual or infrequent problems using established procedures and precedents.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Must be available for occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and successfully complete required drug/alcohol screening.

HANDS-ON ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENT

Candidates must successfully complete a hands-on skills assessment before advancing to the in-person interview stage.

Candidates who do not successfully pass the hands-on assessment will not move forward in the recruitment process.
