Pay Range: The pay range for this job is $20.6 - $42.85 per hour; actual pay is dependent on experience and geographic location. We will meet minimum wage and/or any other applicable legal pay requirements based on city, county, and state requirements.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Assisting with seasonal fabric developments (printing and maintaining accurate mill cards, shipping them to the vendors, communicating developments requests to the vendors).
  • Creating and maintaining seasonal fabric binders, seasonal and Core fabric boards, and assisting in building an organized and clear fabric archive.
  • Entering and updating correct fabric records in Airtable Fabric Library, seasonal Design Paginations and others.
  • Assisting in researching fabrics, requesting swatches, and working with mills and fabric vendors.
  • Supporting with ordering sample yardages and inquiring about proto meters availability.
  • Assisting in reviewing and approving development trials, handlooms, strike-offs, and lab dips for design and production reviews.
  • Supporting with preparing fabric boards for design meetings and inspirational color palettes.
  • Assisting with approving fabric mill cards and RMS reports in FITI, and entering the mill cards data into the Airtable Fabric Library.
  • Entering and updating color names into a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Textiles, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
  • Related experience or industry internships.
  • Textile Knowledge: A basic understanding of fabric construction, yarns, and finishing techniques.
  • Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with PLM systems, Airtable.
  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, excellent multitasking capabilities, and strong organizational skills to manage fast-paced fashion calendars.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent writing and oral communication skills
