The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Fabrication/Assemblerfor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Ladson, SC.Details for the position are as follows:
 
 
Job Description: 
  • Location: Ladson, SC (100% Onsite).
  • Pay: $25.54/hr W2
  • 4-month assignment with possibility of extension based on performance and budget
  • Shifts: Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training. Shift is based on business needs.
  • 2-3 week training.
 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures
  • 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
  • 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
 
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Demonstrates strong effective communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks
  • Perform composite Client-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks
  • Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
  • Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products
  • Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests
  • Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
  • Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements
 
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel
  • Ability to lift 35-40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
