Hourly Rate: $23.00 - 25.00 Plus Annual Bonus
Shifts: M-F 7:00 am -3:30 pm, M-Th 6:30 am-5:00 pm, or Tu-F 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the primary role is to assist in various capacities including, but not limited to, lamination, bonding, painting, and inspection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lamination and Bonding
Understands safety and procedural issues for the process
Reads and understands the production process instruction sheet, including identification of all relevant materials and equipment
Reads and understands part drawings and identifies important details and dimensions
Inspects parts for dimensional qualities
Inspects parts for lamination or secondary process readiness
Ensures material and supplies availability for upcoming production
Schedules daily lamination tasks to ensure optimum throughput to meet customer demand
Cleans and maintains mix and weighing equipment
Performs secondary operations (i.e. insert installation) when necessary
Bonding
Reads and understands process sheet and/or packing slip
Trims and dry fits blocks prior to bond process
Records all lot information onto process sheets
Weighs out adhesives and prepares bagging/bonding materials
Bonds and vacuum bags blocks or finished parts to meet drawing or process sheet specifications
Trim/package or crate items for shipment
Fiberglassing
Reads and understands part drawings for glass layout and thickness details
Prepares work area for glassing process
Cuts/prepares fiberglass for lay-up process
Properly weighs and mixes resins for lay-up
Performs layout process including vacuum bagging when required
Trims and finishes parts, including sanding and readies part for final coatings
Inspects and prepares final parts for shipment
Prepares equipment preventive maintenance schedule
Participates in inventory assessment of raw materials and data collection
Evaluates supplies status and notifies or orders supplies

Majority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.
