Welder Helper

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Schedule: Multiple shifts available (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)

About the Role

Support welding operations in an industrial manufacturing environment by assisting skilled welders with parts installation, hydraulic and electrical systems, and reading blueprints. This position involves operating pneumatic tools, hand tools, torque equipment, lasers, torches, and overhead cranes to ensure efficient welding support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with parts installation, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and reading blueprints to support welding projects
• Operate pneumatic, hand tools, torque equipment, laser, torch, and overhead cranes under supervision
• Follow all safety guidelines and comply with workplace procedures, rules, and regulations
• Support skilled welders in preparing materials and equipment for welding procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are followed
• Set up and adjust welding and lifting equipment as needed
• Support forklift operations with proper training and certification
• Follow technical instructions and work under supervision to develop welding-related skills
• Support inspection and quality control of work pieces under supervision
• Use proper PPE and follow workspace safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic knowledge of parts installation, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hand tools, torque equipment, laser, and torch operation
• Ability to operate forklift with good communication skills (oral and written)
• Willingness to be trained in overhead crane and forklift operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with welding or welding support roles

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly
