Fabrication Shop Worker – $20–$30/hr

Clarkston, WA | Monday–Thursday | Full-Time

We are hiring a Fabrication Shop Worker for a busy fabrication and machine shop in Clarkston, WA! This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals with experience in sheet metal, metal fabrication, construction, or related trades who want to expand their skills and build a long-term career.

Our client provides design, fabrication, mechanical, construction, and specialty building services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You'll gain hands-on experience working with a variety of materials, tools, and equipment alongside experienced tradespeople.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Overtime: Optional Fridays
• Location: Clarkston, WA

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with sheet metal fabrication, layout, cutting, forming, and installation.
• Support structural metal fabrication, welding, grinding, finishing, and painting projects.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read basic drawings, take accurate measurements, and follow project specifications.
• Assist with material handling, equipment operation, and general shop projects.
• Work alongside experienced team members to develop fabrication and mechanical skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic experience in fabrication, sheet metal, construction, or a related trade preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to take direction, think independently, and contribute ideas while staying focused on assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills.
• Ability to perform physical labor in a shop or construction environment.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and maintain legible written notes.

Preferred Skills & Equipment Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Sheet metal fabrication and installation
• Welding, grinding, structural steel, and metal finishing
• Woodworking and general construction
• Forklifts, excavators, scissor lifts, man lifts, and telehandlers
• Sheet metal tools, including snips, tongs, hammers, dividers, and squares
• Mechanical tools, including socket sets, wrenches, and pry bars

Required personal tools: Candidates must have a tape measure, Leatherman or equivalent multitool, and writing instrument available at all times.
