Description: General Labor Services is seeking a Fabrication Lead for our client in King George, VA:
The Fabrication Lead oversees the daily operations of our fabrication team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining production schedules, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the fabrication team to meet production goals.
Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
Assign daily work and monitor productivity and quality.
Ensure fabrication meets company quality standards.
Train, mentor, and support team members.
Inspect equipment and coordinate basic maintenance needs.
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies.
Collaborate with production and management to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications:
3+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience, with previous leadership experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using fabrication tools and equipment.
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
