Position Summary:
Oversee day-to-day operations in the sheet metal fabrication department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of fabricated components. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating personnel, managing workflow, monitoring quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Fabrication Lead serves as a key liaison between production staff, engineering, and management to meet production schedules and maintain compliance with company standards and customer specifications. This position requires strong technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, nesting, forming, welding, and finishing, as well as the ability to train and mentor team members

Knowledge: Strong understanding and creation of blueprints, specs, drawings and instructions. Knowledge of spearhead planning and implementation strategies of multiple projects in an organized manner with commitment to meeting deadlines. Must be able to critically evaluate processes and projects and synthesize insights to arrive at a summary of overall organizational status.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Abilities: Ability to read schematics, accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by procedures; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints; Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion; Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems; Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
