Production Machine Operator (Brake Press / CNC Laser)
Position Title: Production Machine Operator (PMO) Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overtime: Possible overtime on Fridays
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Production Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC laser cutting equipment and/or press brake bending cells to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC manufacturing experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines and/or press brake (bend cell) equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and production specifications.
Verify dimensions and quality of finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency.
Load and unload materials and finished parts safely.
Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
Assist with other production duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, bend cells, or similar manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
Ability to safely handle metal materials and finished products.
