About Rapid Innovation:

Rapid Innovation is a specialized prototype development team affiliated with C.J. Moyna & Sons and Mobile Track Solutions. We design and build prototype earthmoving equipment, taking concepts from idea to functional machine. Our work involves cutting, bending, grinding, and fabricating steel and other raw materials. We are a small, close-knit team that thrives on both independent craftsmanship and collaborative problem-solving.

The Role:

The Fabrication Machine Operator is responsible for producing precision metal parts using CNC cutting equipment and a press brake. This hands-on role focuses on cutting, forming, and preparing components for assembly and welding as we develop new earthmoving equipment

from start to finish. We value creative ideas and offer excellent opportunities to learn welding and grow into more advanced fabrication roles. We are willing to train motivated entry-level people who are eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC cutting equipment to produce parts from steel and other materials according to drawings and production requirements.

Set up and operate a press brake to bend and form components to precise specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and cut files.

Inspect materials and finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality.

Deburr, grind, and prepare parts for the next stage of production.

Organize and label components to support efficient workflow.

Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues.

Safely handle and move materials using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment (training provided).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Assist with prototype assembly, material preparation, and other shop tasks as needed.

Cross-train in welding and additional fabrication processes as skills develop.

Ideal Candidate:

Mechanically inclined with a strong desire to learn (entry-level candidates welcome).

Detail-oriented and proud of producing quality work.

Comfortable operating machinery or eager to be trained.

Enjoys a hands-on, active manufacturing environment.

Flexible and willing to take on varied tasks.

Works well both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Interested in contributing creative ideas while helping develop new earthmoving equipment from concept through finished product.
