Stainless Piping Specialists is hiring enthusiastic individuals to join our team for general machine operators with fabrication duties, including training and advancement opportunities that may include Laser machine operation. Summary/Objective:
The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting etc. for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.
Essential Functions:
Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations.
Select proper cutting programs.
Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.
Perform dimensional inspections.
Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.
May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
Education and Experience:
1 year of manufacturing experience a plus.
1 year of fabrication and machine operation a plus.
Blueprint reading.
Organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times that may be up to 50 pounds.
