About the role

Join a family-owned manufacturer crafting high-quality chairs and tables for commercial dining spaces—the very pieces you spot in the hottest fast-casual chains and bustling university cafés. As a Fabrication Machinery Maintenance & Programming Technician, you’ll blend hands-on machine care with production support to keep our floor running smoothly.

A day in the life (1 PM – 9 PM)

Clock in and review work orders and machine spec sheets. With that roadmap, you’ll scan the floor to identify which machines need attention—then stage materials with a forklift to set up your work. One hour you may fine-tune a laser or robotic welding program or bend tubes to tight tolerances; the next, you’re troubleshooting an unexpected fault, deciding whether to repair in-house or coordinate an outside vendor.

When equipment needs deeper attention, you’ll dismantle assemblies using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists; replace or adjust components per production specs; reassemble, test, and mark any defective areas, alerting supervisors to repair needs. You’ll set up and operate machines, adjust controls, and record production, repair, and maintenance details in the ERP system. Preventive maintenance is part of your rhythm, and when production peaks, you’ll jump in wherever needed—even tackling painting, drywall, carpentry, and grounds keeping to keep our operation sharp.

What you’ll handle

  • Use work orders and machine specifications to determine required maintenance and repairs
  • Operate a forklift to move and stage materials
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues; choose in-house fixes vs. outsourcing
  • Disassemble, repair/replace parts, and reassemble equipment; test and inspect results
  • Install, replace, or adjust machine parts and attachments per production specs
  • Set up and run machines; regulate operations via control adjustments
  • Document production, repairs, and maintenance in the ERP
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in the PM program
  • Support facility needs: painting, drywall, carpentry, and grounds keeping

Schedule & Pay

  • Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, plus OT as needed
  • $23.50–$29.50 hourly + 10% premium
  • $500 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days based on attendance criteria

What you bring

  • 2+ years programming lasers and robotic welders
  • Proven tube bending experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Advanced math, measuring, and problem-solving ability
  • Blueprint literacy and strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to assist other departments during peak production
  • Hands-on skill with drills, grinders, sanders, welders, and related hand tools
  • Computer skills to log time and perform basic ERP transactions

If you thrive on keeping complex fabrication equipment dialed in and love seeing your work show up in busy dining spaces across the country, we’d love to meet you.
