About the Position

The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee the operations, performance, and strategic growth of its fabrication facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.

This leadership role is responsible for organizing and managing all fabrication activities related to hygienic and process piping systems, structural fabrication, and associated industrial construction components. The Fabrication Manager will lead production teams, optimize workflows, ensure quality standards, and drive operational excellence while supporting project execution across multiple industries.

The ideal candidate will possess strong fabrication management experience, technical expertise in industrial piping systems, and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the fabrication facility, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and profitability objectives are achieved.
  • Manage fabrication activities involving hygienic piping, process piping, structural steel, and related industrial systems.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to support project timelines and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations teams.
  • Monitor shop performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality programs, and industry regulations.
  • Oversee workforce planning, staffing, training, and employee development initiatives.
  • Manage fabrication budgets, material utilization, equipment resources, and production costs.
  • Support estimating, planning, and project execution efforts through technical expertise and fabrication planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing fabrication shop operations within industrial construction, manufacturing, or process industries.
  • Strong background in:
    • Hygienic Piping Systems
    • Process Piping Fabrication
    • Structural Fabrication
    • Industrial Construction Projects
  • Experience serving pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage production schedules, workforce performance, and operational efficiency.

Technical Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding operations, quality control procedures, and industrial construction practices.
  • Knowledge of process systems, piping fabrication standards, and shop production workflows.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication documents, and project specifications.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
