Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shop Helper for a metal fabrication client in NE Portland. This is a hands-on labor role supporting daily fabrication shop operations and is a great fit for someone with mechanical aptitude and experience operating forklifts or cranes.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $22$25/hour DOE
Shift: Swing Shift - 2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Support fabrication shop operations with general labor tasks
Operate forklifts and/or cranes to move materials and equipment
Assist with material handling, staging, and shop organization
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
Support shop staff with tasks as directed
Required Qualifications
General mechanical aptitude and ability to work in an industrial environment
Forklift and/or crane operating experience
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent MondayFriday schedule
Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced shop environment

This role is performed in an industrial fabrication shop environment. Work involves exposure to machinery, metal fabrication equipment, and varying shop conditions. PPE and safety compliance are required at all times.
