Our success relies on skilled crews, precision fabrication, and efficient shop operations to support field projects.

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Foreman to oversee shop operations, manage the fabrication team, and ensure quality production of equipment, components, and materials used in soil stabilization projects.

Responsibilities:

The Fabrication Shop Supervisor is responsible for supporting and supervising daily fabrication shop activities, including fabrication, assembly, equipment support, material readiness, production workflow, work orders, quality control, and shop safety.

Reporting to the director of equipment operations, this role helps oversee fabrication shop personnel, procedures, work quality, production priorities, manufacturing drawings, parts control, and parts procurement efficiency. The position works closely with the equipment team to ensure shop production aligns with project needs and field schedules.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and follow-through to a busy shop environment. The ideal candidate has strong fabrication or heavy equipment experience, understands how to lead people on the floor, and can help improve the processes that keep work moving safely, accurately, and efficiently.

  • Train, mentor, and coach shop employees to support quality, safety, productivity, and accountability.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and fabrication shop expectations.
  • Address fabrication shop floor issues in real time and escalate concerns to the director of equipment operations when needed.

Fabrication, Production & Work Quality

  • Monitor fabrication shop workflow and production schedules to ensure deadlines and project needs are met.
  • Ensure work is completed according to quality, safety, and technical specifications.
  • Review, interpret and create drawings, blueprints, manufacturing drawings, fabrication plans, and project requirements for accuracy.
  • Monitor production output and workmanship to identify quality concerns, rework needs, delays, or process gaps.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to shop workflow, fabrication quality, efficiency, and production readiness.

Work Orders, Parts Control & Procurement Support

  • Oversee the completion, accuracy, and tracking of work orders.
  • Help manage manufacturing parts control, including organization, availability, tracking, and usage of materials, tools, raw materials, and parts.
  • Track inventory of raw materials, parts, tools, and supplies required for fabrication production.
  • Coordinate with equipment, logistics, project, and field teams to ensure materials and parts are available when needed.
  • Assist in establishing more efficient parts procurement processes to reduce delays, waste, and downtime.
  • Maintain or support accurate records related to production, repairs, parts usage, inventory, and work order completion.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety standards in the fabrication shop.
  • Ensure employees follow safe work practices, including safe equipment operation, welding practices, fabrication procedures, and use of required PPE.
  • Conduct regular safety checks, inspections, or audits of the fabrication shop environment, tools, equipment, and work practices.
  • Identify and communicate unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or process risks.
  • Support incident prevention, corrective actions, and follow-up when safety concerns or incidents occur.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused fabrication shop environment.

Collaboration & Field Support

  • Work closely with the equipment team, and logistics personnel to coordinate fabrication shop production with project schedules.
  • Communicate equipment, fabrication, material, or production needs to leadership and appropriate support teams.
  • Help ensure fabrication shop output supports field operations and minimizes delays to active projects.
  • Maintain clear communication between the fabrication shop and equipment managers regarding status, timing, material needs, and production priorities.
Qualifications:

  • Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Preferred
