Overview:
Working in a fabrication shop and various production environments, this employee builds, rebuilds, and installs production equipment such as baking ovens, conveyor systems, and a variety of packaging equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Building, rebuilding, and installation of all production and a variety of packaging equipment
- Performs related duties as directed by a supervisor
Essential Functions:
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to do shop math, perform layouts, and read drawings
- Must be highly motivated, able to follow direction, and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision to include welding, pipe fitting and fabrication
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to speak, listen, and openly communicate with team members
- Must be organized and maintain a safe work area
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and twist regularly
- Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 12 hours per day
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 75#
- Requires full use of arms and legs to climb stairs to access all areas of the plant, offices, and roof
- Able to perform work while on aerial work platforms
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of welding experience preferred, however, new grads with strong academic records are encouraged to apply
- Sheet metal and structural experience required
- Welding experience in ARC, MIG, TIG, steel, stainless, and aluminum required, sanitary welding a plus
- Experience with both light and heavy gauge welded fabrications
- Experience in shearing, bending, forming, and rolling stainless and aluminum sheet metals
- HVAC duct work fabrication, carpentry, masonry, mechanic experience a plus
- Must have demonstrated good work habits and attendance
