Position Purpose:
As a Fabrication Specialist in the live event industry, your primary objective is to contribute to the successful execution of live events by supporting Operational needs as directed by Operations Managers and working directly with Ops Supervisors as required. You will collaborate with Designers and production teams to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring that all fabrication work aligns with client expectations and specifications. Your expertise in fabrication techniques, materials, and safety procedures will play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing process improvements and supporting employee growth through onboarding support and skill development.
Essential Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Participates in initial problem solving and conceptual design of assigned project; from beginning of project through to the end.
- Collaborates with internal and external resources to verify feasibility of potential design.
- Leads prototyping of multiple solutions to determine the best for manufacturability while supporting innovation.
- Lean focus applications - LSS – continuous improvements
- Project delivery with focus on high end / high complexity projects
- Department initiatives ownership
- Onboarding / cross training employees
- Employee skill development and focused certification support
- Department initiatives ownership
- SOP development and implementation
- Adherence to KPI expectations
- Support QC functions and NCR reporting
- Process improvement ID, development and implementation
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.
- Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company.
- Meet 50% Direct utilization expectation
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational training and courses in Mechanics
- 5+ Years of fabrication experience including MIG/TIG welding, metal fabrication and mechanical assembly
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull or push 50 lbs.
Work conditions of the role are:
- Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, safety toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location.
