We are seeking a Fabrication Technician to perform tasks in the fabrication, assembly, and modification of SS components and sheet metal, using a variety of tools, equipment, and techniques. Technicians work independently with minimal supervision, contributes to process improvements, requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes and a commitment to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom panels and assembly fluid systems. Functions include tube cutting and bending, orbital welding, assembling threaded fitting components, using appropriate hand tools/equipment.
- Measure, cut, bend and shape raw material to precise dimensions (SS Tubing and sheet metal)
- Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and written instructions to ensure fabrication meets project specifications. Understand a bill of material and its relationship to a drawing.
- Perform function and pressure testing using methods, bubble leak or helium leak testing.
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in assembly, material handling, or manufacturing environment
- Must have proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment (saws, tube benders, weld systems, misc. power tools)
- Must have machining, milling and material handling experience
- Must have knowledge of pressure and flow measurements
