Job Title: Fabrication Weld TechnicianClassification: HourlyDepartment: FabricationReports to: Supervisor / ForemanPosition Summary:Fabricate new production related items for the Forging and EP departments by means of welding (MIG). Associates will also repair these production related items.Key Responsibilities:
Verify integrity of data through the confirmation of sign offs on process documentation.
Maintain sanctity of the workspace through the enforcement of 5s principles.
Maintains safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
Cut, shape, and trim material to specified lengths or shapes utilizing grinders, iron worker, and other various hand tools.
Read blueprints to build various items.
Inspect all items for various defects.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements (PM), troubleshooting minor maintenance issues, and calling for repairs.
Accomplishes departmental goals by taking ownership of the welding process.
Perform other duties as needed.

Education & Experience:
Associate degree in welding or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma or GED
Prior experience in metals manufacturing/fabrication environment.
(3-5) Years experience in welding or related field.
