MIG/TIG Fabrication Welder - $23+/hr


Location: North Houston Area
Pay: Starting at $23.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

LINK Staffing is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Fabrication Welder for a full-time opportunity with an established manufacturing operation in the North Houston area.


This position requires a skilled welder who can do more than run production welds. Qualified candidates must have strong MIG and TIG welding experience, understand fabrication drawings, measure and fit components, and complete accurate welds with minimal supervision.

Candidates should be prepared to discuss their recent fabrication experience and complete a welding assessment as part of the selection process.

What You Will Do

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and welding specifications

  • Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble materials

  • Set up parts and components before welding

  • Verify dimensions, angles, and alignment before completing welds

  • Fabricate and modify metal parts according to production requirements

  • Use grinders, saws, clamps, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment

  • Inspect welds and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy

  • Identify and correct weld defects or fabrication issues

  • Maintain consistent workmanship throughout the production process

  • Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations

  • Keep the fabrication area clean and organized

  • Follow all welding, equipment, and workplace safety procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 5 years of MIG welding experience

  • At least 5 years of TIG welding experience

  • Strong metal fabrication background

  • Experience fitting and assembling fabricated components

  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications

  • Ability to measure and verify parts accurately

  • Experience using grinders, saws, clamps, and fabrication equipment

  • Ability to complete quality welds with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to weld quality, fit, and finished appearance

  • Ability to identify and correct fabrication problems

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the full schedule

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
