Pay/ Hours
· $25.00 - $34.00/hour
· 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
· Overtime Required. Typical work week is 45 – 50 hour
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, shop prints, and welding symbols
- Layout, fit-up, assemble, fabricate, and weld structural and custom assemblies
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys
- Fabricate skids, platforms, supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation
- Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plate rolls, band saws, ironworkers, magnetic drills, grinders, and hand tools
- Safely operate overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Ability to pass a welding qualification test
- Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols
- Experience with MIG welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fabrication Welder I
- 1-3 years of welding and/or fabrication experience preferred
Fabrication Welder II
- 3-5+ years of fabrication shop experience preferred
- Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of structural assemblies preferred
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes and plate rolls preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing
